From a young age, I knew I was different. I spoke differently, dressed uniquely, and stood out in appearance. My parents relocated from vibrant Amsterdam to a quieter rural area, where the accent was unfamiliar. My mother, with her refined background, dressed me in a way that reflected her upbringing but was very different from my peers. My wild, fluffy, and unruly blond curls set me apart at school, making me the only one with such a distinctive look. Back then, hair products for curly hair were scarce, and I was too young to understand why my uniqueness drew attention.

As I entered my teenage years, I became acutely aware of my surroundings and desperately tried to fit in. I mimicked the style of my peers, buying the same clothes, diaries, and even decorating them with similar pictures. Yet, despite my efforts, I still felt like an outsider. At 15, I reached a turning point. If fitting in was impossible, I decided it was time to embrace myself.

I raided my mother's wardrobe, selecting clothes I adored and that she no longer wore. My father's closet wasn't spared either—I found some cool suit jackets and unique collarless white silk shirts he had picked up in Singapore. The next day, I walked into school with a newfound confidence and a style that was distinctly my own.

Initially, my peers laughed and giggled at my bold fashion choices. But within a week, those same individuals began to mimic my style. Suddenly, I found myself attracting people who genuinely understood and accepted me for who I was. I realized that being true to myself was my greatest strength. Authenticity became my key.

As a caring and pragmatic Master Life Coach, I combine empathetic guidance and analytical insights to help you create a happy and fulfilling life. I empower people that feel stuck, lost their identity, vision and/or goals, to find healing, strength, purpose and happiness, to create easy and practical proven strategies and set achievable goals.

My extensive career in business consulting, information analysis, management, customer service and coaching has provided me with a wealth of experience that I bring to my life coaching. This background equips me to understand unique client needs and deliver impactful guidance that supports their personal and professional growth.

At 55, I've embraced life's changes and transformed them into opportunities for growth. My journey has been diverse: I transitioned from a career in fashion buying to IT business consultancy, relocated from the vibrant streets of Amsterdam to the serene mountains of New Zealand, and shifted from the technical world of IT to hotel management. I've now found fulfilment in teaching and have established a rewarding career in life coaching. Currently, I'm successfully managing life with teenage children and preparing to transition from being a single mom to embracing an independent life as they leave home. Through focus, talent, passion, and determination, I've discovered that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. I draw on my life experiences to inspire and motivate others.
